The Eli update that doesn't seem like an update:0
Today we got checked in to San Felipe. That's it. Evidently, it is an all-day affair! Eli made it. His eye is more swollen, sore, and red this evening. John is able to stay with him tonight, as he is on a men's ward. We have special permission for 24 hours. Please pray with us that we will be able to extend that permission. Today we had a few people that weren't so happy to help and many that were such a help. I am grateful to all of those people that helped me find my way today, sometimes just noticing that I was a lost person wandering around a hospital looking for my son. Tomorrow morning at 6am we hope to see the drs. We will update when we know more. Thank you for your continued prayers and care.

Eli Update:
CEMS, after much deliberation, have decided the best course of action for Eli will be to transfer him to Tegucigalpa. San Felipe is the hospital with the care team that Eli needs: neuro, infectious disease dr, ocular surgeon, and an ENT dr. As of now, the surgery will either involve placing a drain for the abscess behind his eye or removing the abscess. Tomorrow Eli, Paula, and John will arrive at San Felipe at 7 am to immediately prepare a course of action. The infection is still in Eli's sinuses as well as the abscess behind his eye, which has 20/70 vision as of yesterday. He was discharged from CEMS this evening and he is so happy to be back home for a night. Please pray with us that Eli's infection will start to subside before surgery, as the bacteria will make for a dangerous surgery. Your continued prayer support and encouragement are so important to us and appreciated greatly. Thank you for being the Body.

We've had a few additions as of late, total head count of 33. I doubt we'll need to mow the lawn any time soon.

We may not have reliable electricity, fast Internet, nor paved village roads, but we do have a milk man, by golly!
