Subject: Honduran Politics

Would you believe it? The world has is excited to announce that the political crisis in Honduras is over. They have decided to let the Honduran legislature decide whether or not to reinstate Zelaya as president. For those of you not keeping up with the story, Mel was removed after breaking constitutional laws, drug trafficing and imbezzlement.

Of course, the legislature and Supreme Court of Honduras ruled earlier this year to remove Zelaya after breaking said laws. The expectation is that the sanctions and elimination of aid by countries around the world will help the Honduran Congress make the politically correct decision to put Zelaya back in power.

And now for the oxymoron of the day:

"All sides in the 4-month-old dispute spawned by Zelaya's military-backed ouster on June 28 declared the negotiated solution a victory, and it drew praise from figures as diverse as U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Venezuela's Hugo Chavez."

Clinton? Chavez? Diverse? LOL

In the last couple weeks, seven more planes filled with weapons and drugs from Venezuela were confiscated and destroyed by the Honduran military. Under Mel, these planes were given a refueling stop without harrassment before heading to the USA. Seems pretty obvious that the interruption in the drug trade caused no small amount of consternation among Central and North American leaders.

Obama raised a record amount of money on his bid to the White House.

His administration has played no small part in returning the communist, drug trafficing Chavez puppet leader to power.

Draw your own conclusions. ;-)
