Subject: June Bugs, I mean April bugs

Warning: barbarian practices exposed

June bugs come early to my house, usually in April.  June bugs always make me think of Gerardo and Timothy.  They would entertain themselves for hours swatting June bugs with tennis rackets, hitting them into the ceiling fans so that they would fly into the girls' hair, so that said girls would scream, and then Gerardo and Timothy would laugh until they hurt.  They would also take June bugs and toast them over candles (we would seem to loose electricity with June bugs' arrival).  As they toasted them they would laugh and complain about how bad it smelled, roasted June bug.  Imagine.  During June bug season they would turn on all the lights at night, just to gather June bugs to torture.  I have to admit that we would all laugh at them.  Hours they would do this.

It is June bug time.  Last night I was swatting them, missing the laughter of Timothy and Gerardo together.  I always loved how Timothy and Gerardo related, brothers.

I am thankful for my children.  They bring joy.  I am thankful for happy memories.

Thank you Father for the precious gifts you have given me, they are priceless and eternal.

Thank you dear Holly for these beautiful reminders.  Thank you.
