Subject: Peanut Butter

Yesterday we had to, horror of horrors, drive to town. Anytime I have to do that I try to do as much as I can so that I don't have to return very soon. I try to think of all the banks I need to move money to and from. I write material lists for projects and think of any supply we might need. I am careful to write them down before I leave, so that I can spend the minimal amount of time driving around or being seen in public.

As stated yesterday, we're out of leftovers. Paula bought lots of groceries for us before she left, but those require preparation and cooking. Left to my own devices, I figured peanut butter will serve for the next 15 meals we must have before she returns. Problem, peanut butter is sold in grocery stores. Solution, peanuts are sold in a dark corner of the farmer's market.

So after a bit of roasting, there are now four pounds of peanuts in the grinder. Sure, buying a jar of peanut butter is easier, but it requires public exposure and the possibility of being detected by someone who might know you.
