Subject: Update

Saturday night I hit my point of exhaustion.  Mark was home, dinnera and clean up was long and involved, boys had been unwieldly and brewing for a couple of days, and things seemed out of order.  That is always a breaking point for me, when things are out of order!  Also- just plain tired.  Before bed I spent some quiet time with my Lord and read a little.  This portion of a book blessed me and give me encouragement. From Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot " If we reject this cross, we will not find it in this world again.  Here is the opportunity offered. Be patient.  Wait on the Lord for whatever He appoints, wait quietly, wait trustingly.  He holds every minute of every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year in His hands.  Thank Him in advance for what the future holds, for He is already there.  "Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup"  Psalms 16:5  Shall we not gladly say, "I'll take it Lord!  Yes!  I'll trust you for everything.  Bless the Lord, Oh my soul."   Somehow when someone like Elisabeth Elliot says it-it doesn't seem trite or condemning.  Pray with us, as this next 6 weeks does not sound easy.  Mark normally handles things tht have to be dealt with away from the house- so that I can be with all the children.  He is not able to drive or get around.  We know God has a way! Also pray for our sleep and rest.  We have had situations with the boys that have brought much lack of sleep.  It is so hard to have patience for the days happenings when you start out tired and cranky.  Something everyone can relate to, whether in Honduras, Texas, Colorado, or Oregon!  Thank you for lifting us up, Paula
