Subject: re: Stuck In San Pedro Sula

Hey Mike,       Sounds like you had another adventure. Don't you love modern travel? I think I would have tried to cash in some frequent flier miles for a more comfortable first class seat (that is if I ever had that many).       The van was repaired and returned to us today at 3 PM. We checked out at noon today so that we would not have to pay for an extra day. The van made it up the mountain so I guess it was ok. The charge for the repair was 4250 Lempiras or about $223. Just under half of that was for labor. The mechanic worked on it for about a day and a half...not a bad day's work for a Honduran, he accepted payment with a large grin on his face. He had to do some valve work, replace some gaskets, balancer things and a tensor (as best I can tell with my limited translation abilities). He gave us the souvenir broken parts.        We enjoyed the putty out of your visit. I know it was not all fun and games but it should make some memories and experiences in a very different culture. Thanks,     Mark
