I remember back to my early days of learning a second language (in a school setting). On at least one occasion the teacher would comment that we needed to think in the other language. I've even heard our high school computer teacher tell us to think like a computer. In the latter case I really didn't relish the thought of thinking in binary. The former case I never really achieved that in a high school setting.      Early this month Hannah and I were out to buy groceries and such in town. I was looking at prices and trying to calculate the total cost of four bags of flour. So I found myself thinking "viente-uno por quatro igual...". Then I had to stop and think, why am I translating numbers and mathematics to Spanish? Only reason I could think of is that I have been living in Central America for a little while. Then I thought "is it easier to multiply in English or Spanish"?  I asked Hannah, "do you ever find yourself thinking of numbers in Spanish instead of English". She admitted to the same.      Before you think I am ready to translate your English sermons for the masses down here; understand that my Spanish vocabulary has its limits. I struggle trying to get my point across with the six or seven words I know, but Lord knows I try.
